Stephanie Barberra is the owner and instructor at SVF. She holds a BS in Animal Science with a specialization in Equine Training and is a Level 3 Centered Riding Instructor.  She is a full-time faculty member in the Equine Science and Management program at Delaware Valley University.

What We Do

All lessons incorporate the principles of classical dressage training as well as the teachings of the British Horse Society and the United States Pony Club. We are members of the USEF and USEA.

Starting with our leadliners all the way to our young eventers safety is our number one priority.  We teach you WHAT to do, WHEN to do it, WHY to do it and most importantly HOW to do it.  Instruction is about communication; the teacher to the student, the student to the horse. 

For our beginners, horsemanship is a part of every riding lesson.  You will learn all the basics that will give you a solid foundation as you start your relationship with horses.

Our intermediate and advanced riders work on refining their aids and more difficult skills such as jumping and dressage. They have the chance to compete if they desire.

We also have many adults who return to the saddle after years of not riding or those who  feel "stuck"...tired of going around in circles.   Centered Riding lessons are just what you have been looking for!  You CAN ride without tension, fear or physical pain.  You will ride better then you ever thought you could AND it will be easier then you ever thought if could be!
The more "problems" you or your horse may have, the more Centered Riding can help you.

All lessons are structured to be safe and FUN!  Riders learn that the horse can only be as good as his rider and that it takes years to master those skills. Riding requires concentration, discipline, responsibility, patience and understanding.  What a great way to learn those life skills!
